The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Thursday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for reformed multilateralism.
Addressing a press conference here, officials from the Ministry said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi voiced the requirement for United Nations Security Council (UNSC) reforms.
"Prime Minister said what we need today's is reformed multilateralism. He stressed on the importance of UNSC reforms," the MEA official said.
The Prime Minister also stressed on the need for BRICS cooperation for global portable social security framework, intending to benefit nearly 215 million people who are working outside their nations.
"Strengthening cooperation amongst BRICS on Circular Economy in the context of the Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP). We note that the circular economy approach represents enormous potential to reduce waste, to forge more environmentally sustainable processes, diversify our economies whilst contributing to economic growth and job creation," MEA noted.
