English actor Dominic West has challenged Prince Harry to a gruelling race to the South Pole, it has been revealed.
The 'Wire' star will be up against the Royal adventurer on the 208-mile Walking with the Wounded trek, later in 2013, the Daily Express reported.
West will not only be racing the redheaded royal, but also a team of wounded British servicemen and women, as well as a group from the US.
Confirming he would take part, the Hollywood star said that he agreed to do a walk to the South Pole with the wounded soldiers in December, so he is trying to train for that at the moment.
A spokesman for the charity said that West would be joining the Commonwealth team as a celebrity team mentor.
The rep asserted that West would be taking part in the full trek to the Pole, enduring gruelling conditions of up to minus 50 degrees.

He added that West had spent a week in Iceland for secret training on glaciers with his team and only got back on Thursday night.
The Prince of Wales, who took part in the charity's trek to the North Pole in 2011, is already patron of the Antarctica expedition.
He had confirmed in April 2013 that he would be taking part with Team UK, also known as Team Glenfiddich, for the entire race.
