Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev , who was detained at London's Heathrow airport for over six hours, on Saturday said that the British immigration officials gave no explanation for his detention, and said that they have received a red alert notice against him.

"When I reached Heathrow airport, the immigration department stopped me and said they have received a red alert notice against me. I asked about the reason for the red alert very politely. I haven't done anything immoral and illegal ever. But they did not give me any explanation why I was detained,' he told Aastha TV.

"I gave my full cooperation, and showed them all the papers. I asked them to check my phone, my bag and my hand bag. They kept me from 5:30pm to 1:15am in the night," he added.

British Customs officials questioned Baba Ramdev for over six hours late on Friday night. Reports said that the questioning centered around the Baba arriving on a vistor's visa instead of a business visa.

He had arrived in London to attend a function organised by the Patanjali Yogpeeth on the occasion of the 120th anniversary of Swami Vivekanand.
