Brivis Climate Systems, a subsidiary of Rinnai Australia, has received an Australian Good Design Award (Hardware and Building category) for its Iceberg ducted heating and cooling system.
The Australian Good Design Awards have been promoting excellence in design and innovation since 1958.
Brivis, which was acquired by Rinnai Australia in February 2015, manufactures and sells ducted heating and cooling systems, the main form of air-conditioning in Australia.
In this year's event, Brivis received the Good Design Award for product design for its Iceberg ducted heating and cooling system.
Iceberg's main unit installed on the roof of the house captures outside air and cools it using vaporized heat taken from the air when water evaporates.
The cooled air is distributed to each room via a ducting system.
