Bruce Jenner's mother, Esther, has confirmed about his transitions from male to female.
Esther, who supports the former Olympian "wholeheartedly," said in an interview that she just learned about his transition, when Jenner filled her in and they had a very long, long, long talk about it, News.com.au reported.
Esther added that she has never been more proud of Jenner, who "instils enthusiasm in people" and "is gifted," for who he is, himself as a father, as an Olympian, wonderful public speaker," she said of the father of six.
Although Esther says she wasn't aware of her son's changing feelings, she's more proud of him now than when he stood on that podium and put the gold medal around his neck.
She concluded that the 65-year-old former U.S. track and field athlete, who will discuss his transition at length with Diane Sawyer in an interview set to air in May, deserves all the respect.
