Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Wednesday said that her party would reveal its stand on the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Bill once it is discussed in the Rajya Sabha.

"It's a very important bill. So, the House needs to be in order. Passing this bill without getting the House in order won't be right," she told media here.

Responding to a poser on the Congress' stand in parliament, Mayawati said it would be inappropriate to pass the GST Bill without bringing the House in order.

"This is a very important Bill, and in this scenario, it is necessary that the House must be in order," she said.

Mayawati further said that it would also be inappropriate on her part to reveal the BSP's position on the GST Bill outside parliament.

The GST Bill was listed for discussion and passage in the Rajya Sabha today where the BJP-led NDA Government does not have a majority.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, who moved the GST Bill in the Rajya Sabha yesterday, accused the Congress of creating obstacles in the path of the country's economic growth.

The BJP has issued whip to its MPs asking them to be present in parliament today.

The whip has been issued as government wants to pass the key legislations like GST Bill during the remaining part of the current session, which is scheduled to end tomorrow.
