Pakistan's Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has issued fresh orders to produce former President General Pervez Musharraf before the court in connection with the 2006 Nawab Akbar Bugti murder case.

ATC Judge Tariq Anwar Kasi rejected Musharraf's application to exempt him from appearing in court and ordered his presence during the next hearing of the case on September 30, the Dawn reports.

The court also issued arrest warrants for the then prime minister Shaukat Aziz, former Balochistan governor Owais Ahmed Ghani and former district coordination officer for Dera Bugti Abdul Samad Lasi convicted in the murder case.

However, the investigating officer told the court that they were not present in the country.

Nawab Akbar Bugti was killed in an operation by security forces in the mountains of Dera Bugti on August 26, 2006.
