Former Formula One driver Jenson Button has confirmed that he will take part in the Monaco Grand Prix in what he described as a one-off race the in the month of May.
Button hung up his helmet after a glittering career at the very top of the sport at the end of last season.
He will replace Fernando Alonso in the McLaren team
Alonso announced earlier this week he would miss Monaco to take up the opportunity to race in the Indianapolis 500 on the same day.
McLaren announced the news in an official statement on Friday.
