Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah today said that the results of the by-elections clearly indicates that people are gradually favouring the Congress over the BJP.
"We have won 2 by-elections after coming to power, a clear indication that there is support for our policies," said Siddaramaiah, addressing a press conference in Bangalore today.
In a major blow to BJP, Congress's NY Gopalakrishna defeated BJP's Obalesh in Bellary Rural.
Congress retained its Chikkodi-Sadalga, where its candidate Ganesh Prakash Hukkeri defeated Mahantesh Kavatagimath of BJP.
Siddaramaiah further said that he would like to tread the path of J Jayalalithaa, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, thus putting in more work for the people of Karnataka. "I have decided to talk less and work more. Have you seen how Jayalalithaa functions? She talks less and works more," he said.
