Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution C.R. Chaudhary arrived at Imphal today and made a direct assessment of the various difficulties being encountered by the state government with regard to implementation of the National Food Security Act (NFSA).
A review meeting was held at the Hotel Imphal Classic, Sangai Hall.
The review meeting was attended by FCI top officials as well as state minister Ksh Biren Singh.
Chaudhury discussed the matter with the state minister and his officials and resolved three points for smooth implementation of the NFSA all over the state.
Before his trip to Imphal, Chaudhury had also visited Assam and studied about the enforcement of NFSA in the neighbouring state.
