Cricket Australia (CA) has confirmed that they would go ahead with the first ever day-night Test against New Zealand despite the negative reviews received about the new pink ball.

Top-order Australian batsman Adam Voges had earlier criticized the pink ball, saying that it didn't hold up very well.

Meanwhile, new Australian skipper Steve Smith said he is not worried about playing against the pink ball in the day and night matches, adding that he is looking forward to it.

Reflecting his views on the pink ball, CA spokesperson said he is confident with the work done on the ball over the years,Sport24 reported.

CA also revealed ticket sales of the Test have been going incredibly stronger than that of the Ashes, adding that it would surely attract larger audience.

The first ever day-night Test between Australia and New Zealand will be played at the Adelaide Oval from November 27.
