Cricket Australia (CA) will reportedly unveil a new 29 million-dollar cricket facility in Brisbane as a boost for the future of Australian cricket.

The National Cricket Centre, which is fitted out with everything from a three-lane, 25-metre lap pool, an anti-gravity treadmill and simulated match surfaces, is being billed as a world-class training and development hub that can help put Australia back on top.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, CA chief executive James Sutherland said that the Centre would be a resource for players across the country and will allow young cricketers coming through the system to benefit from world-class facilities and outstanding coaching staff.

Sutherland further said that CA's vision is for cricket to be Australia's favourite sport and a sport for all Australians, adding that the new facility will help with that objective.
