England all-rounder Ben Stokes has been ruled out of the third Test against Pakistan at Edgbaston due to a calf injury sustained during the second match at Old Trafford.
The 25-year-old limped off the field after suffering the injury on his right calf while bowling his sixth over on the fourth day of the second Test, which England won by 330 runs to level the four-match series 1-1.
The England and Wales Cricket Board said that Stokes' fitness will be reviewed by the medical team next week, Sport24 reported.
Meanwhile, England have announced a 13-man squad for the third Test starting on August 3.
Nottinghamshire paceman Jake Ball, who made his Test debut in the opening Test at Lord's, fast bowler Steven Finn and Yorkshire leg-spinner Adil Rashid were included in the squad.
