Campa Cola residents block BMC officials from entering compound yet again

ANI Mumbai

Campa Cola residents blocked their entrance after the Brihan Mumbai Corporation (BMC) officials arrived at the Campa Cola compound on Saturday to carry out the demolition of the flats.

The BMC officials have urged the residents to vacate the area and have threatened them of using force if they are defiant and do not cooperate.

The residents had yesterday thwarted attempts by Municipality officials to demolish their houses and cut off the power and water supply.

The BMC was supposed to begin the building's demolition on Friday, by disconnecting power, water and gas supplies to all illegal flats. It had earlier given a May 2 deadline to the residents but the Residents had then stood their ground and did not move out.
