A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that a bilateral dialogue with Pakistan was only possible in a terror-free environment, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shahnawaz Hussain asserted that India can't have good relations with those who talk to separatist leaders and continuously bombard India's borders.
Hussain told ANI, "Our Prime Minister (PM) wants good relations with all our neighbors. But, we cannot have good relations with those who interfere in our internal matters by talking to separatist leaders and those who continuously bombard our borders".
He said, "Pakistan is swamped by its internal problems. The Pakistan Government is under attack by Imran Khan and cleric Tahirul Qadri, and Nawaz Sharif is trying with all his might to save his Prime Ministerial post."
"To distract the people of Pakistan from their internal woes, they are trying to create trouble on the border," Hussain added.
Earlier, Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had allegedly assigned the army the role of a mediator to look for a feasible solution between the government and protesting parties in a bid to end political deadlock. He, however, denied any such overtures being made while speaking in the National Assembly.
