A Canadian consular service point has been established at the "Phora Durbar" American Club, located at in Central Kathmandu (near the Thamel neighborhood).
The assistance that is provided to Canadians in Kathmandu includes:
Assistance in connecting families and friends
Help in identifying local assistance including shelters and medical assistance
Issuing emergency travel documentation

Canada has sent a Canadian Forces aircraft to bring humanitarian relief to Nepal. In addition to helping identify commercial flights, Canadian officials are working on plans to air-lift Canadians to New Delhi using DND flights. More details on these plans and the flights available will be communicated to Canadian citizens by the Emergency Watch and Response Centre and the Canadian Consular Service Point at the American Club in Kathmandu.
