A court in Canada has taken a very firm attitude against a teenager, who was in possession of naked images of her boyfriend's ex-girlfriend and disseminated them.

According to CBC News reports, a judge in Victoria, British Columbia, offered a literal interpretation of the teen's actions.

The judge convicted the teenager on Thursday of possession and dissemination of child pornography and of threatening behavior, CNET reported.

According to reports, her boyfriend had voluntarily shown her the pictures, and also that there was little age gap between the sexter and the victim.

At the time of the offense, the sexting teen was 16, and her aims were said in court to be humiliation and intimidation (she sent the victim texts that threatened to "stomp" her).
