Candle light vigil in Amritsar for abducted Indians in Iraq

People in Amritsar held candle light vigil for abducted Indians in Iraq here on Thursday.

The held out slogans which read, 'nation must unite, save the people of AHBRO.'

Earlier today, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj met the families of the abducted Indians in Iraq, and told them that the government will make every effort to rescue those who have been stranded.

Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal was also present in the meeting along with the families of those stranded.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has also introduced a 24*7 helpline for the Indians trapped in Iraq.

The MEA had also confirmed that the location of the trapped Indians is being tracked; however, they have not been able to track the trapped nationals.
