American singer Carrie Underwood broke her wrist and suffered from 'multiple injuries' after she fell on the steps outside of her home.
This came just a few days after the 34-year-old hosted the Country Music Association (CMA) Awards, the PEOPLE reported.
Underwood's representative informed her fans that she was treated for cuts and abrasions at the hospital on Friday.
"Her recovery will take some time and she appreciates all prayers and well wishes", her representative added.
Underwood later took to Twitter to thank fans for their support on Sunday.
"Thanks so much for all the well wishes everybody.I'll be alright.might just take some time," she tweeted.
The American Idol also thanked her husband Mike Fisher, who travelled back to Nashville overnight to be with her.

"Glad I've got the best hubby in the world to take care of me", she added in her tweet.
Underwood was all set to perform on Sunday at the Country Rising benefit show but was unable to due to her injury.
