An Atlantic County Superior Court judge in New Jersey, has ruled that casino waitresses are effectively 'sex objects,' who can be fired for gaining weight.

Superior Court Judge Nelson Johnson's decision effectively ended the court battle between Atlantic City casino, the Borgata, and 22 former cocktail servers, known collectively as 'Borgata Babes,' the Huffington Post reported.

According to Los Angeles Times, the cocktail servers had sued the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa alleging weight discrimination.

A policy of casino, which prohibited them from gaining more than 7 percent of their original body weight, was specifically targeted by them.

Judge Johnson however, said that the Borgata guidelines were fair, as all the cocktail servers knew what they were getting into while accepting positions in the casino's selective program.
