A British biologist has suggested that a cat believes that its owner is a clumsy, overgrown oaf of a cat.
Dr. John Bradshaw studied cats for 30 years and just released a book 'Cat Sense' in which he has traced the cat/human relationship's evolution CBS Connecticut reported.
Bradshaw said that cats live in a partly feral state and are not quite domesticated, and treat humans as though they were the mama cat.
He said that when a cat rubs against its owner with its tail straight in the air, they are making sure that the owner is not hostile towards them.
Purring is linked with feeding as that is how kittens used to get milk from its mother.
