Chairperson of Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) Leela Samson has reportedly resigned after the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal (FCAT) apparently cleared the controversial film Messenger of God (MSG) that stars Dera Saccha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh.

There is, however, no official word as yet about the FCAT clearing the film, media reports said.

Samson had earlier denied the clearance certificate to the film, saying the movie depicts Singh as God.
