The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is planning to set up a 'National Anti-Corruption Citizen Support Centre', a national-level 24x7 anti-corruption helpline, said sources.
According to sources, the helpline will receive complaints from social media, email, cell phone and land line phones, and will provide a language support run by the agency.
The helpline will be a one-point contact at the national-level to the citizens.
The first session of the 22nd Conference of CBI & State ACBx/Vigilance Bureaux/EOWs starting Friday will discuss the modalities of having the 'National Anti-Corruption Citizen Support Centre'.
The conference provides a platform to all agencies and officers looking after anti corruption and vigilance work and deliberate upon all the challenges faced. This is the first time that the Heads of Economic Offences Wings of States are participating in the conference. This would bring on board most stakeholders in the fight against corruption and economic offences.
