Former Deputy Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General (retired) Raj Kadyan, on Wednesday termed the ceasefire violation in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba Sector as extremely unfortunate, and said that Pakistan should focus on their internal problems after the recent Peshawar attack.
"This is the time when Pakistan should have been more focused on their internal problems, especially after the Peshawar attack and deadly attacks they are facing from their own Taliban which they only had nurtured. It is very unfortunate that Pakistan continues keep activating the ceasefire line," Lt. General (retired) Kadyan told ANI.
He further said that 26/11 accused Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi and Hafiz Saeed are mere operators acting upon the instructions from the ISI and Pakistani regime.
"Pakistan has always been doing double speak. Lakhvi, Hafiz Saeed and the others who are under detention based on the evidence provided to them of their involvement in the Mumbai attack. They are mainly actors who have been directed by the ISI and Pakistani regime," Lt. General (retired) Kadyan said.
"India has been making efforts but we know that none of these people will be handed over to India for standing trials," he added.
Meanwhile, he also said that the Indian defence forces are well prepared and well-equipped to respond to any of these ceasefire violations.
