Seems the 2016 BET awards was night dedicated to legendary singer Prince as he was honoured with a series of performances throughout the evening.
Comedian Dave Chappelle honoured him by saying, "We miss him dearly. But tonight, the BET Awards will celebrate the rich legacy of this remarkable genius that we are all so proud of."
Later, The Roots, Erykah Badu and Bila delivered a musical tribute to honour Prince.
In addition to this, Tori Kelly and Stevie Wonder came together and performed 'Take Me With You.'
What really got the crowd on its feet was when Jennifer Hudson stepped on stage and crooned 'Purple Rain.'
As the show entered it's second hour, Maxwell performed on several hits, including 'Nothing Compares to You.'
The star-studded award ceremony was held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
