Centre committed for development of north-eastern region: MoS (Home)

Minister of State for Home Affairs Haribhai Parathibhai Chaudhary has said that the Centre is totally committed for the overall development of the north-eastern region.

He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has advised all the Union Ministers to visit the north-eastern states to listen to the problems and issues of the north-eastern people and ensure that the developmental programmes are implemented on time.

Chaudhary said that he looks forward to visiting the north-eastern region very shortly.

Chaudhary, who was addressing a group of school children from Nagaland who are on a study tour to Delhi-Agra-Jaipur, arranged by the Assam Rifles Headquarters as a part of the National Integration Programmes for the north-eastern region, encouraged the young students to experience the vast cultural diversity of the country during their tour and spread the message of national integration back home.
