Moroccan striker Marouane Chamakh has admitted that a blackmail case had stalled his Arsenal career just as it was taking shape.

According to The Guardian, the striker expressed that the situation was pretty serious and wore him down because things about his private life were disclosed.

Chamakh had partied with three Swedish women during a holiday in Las Vegas and was filmed having sex along with two of his male friends on a Blackberry mobile phone, the English media claimed.

The player was then contacted by a mystery person via email and was threatened that the footage and images would be circulated, according to reports.
