Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu extended greetings to all Telegu people across the world on the occasion of Diwali.
In a statement, Naidu said: "I wish this Diwali brings happiness to all Telegu families. Let us greet lighting of the festival in the Kartika month. I wish peace and prosperity to all Telugu people across the world. Humanity should prevail over demonic forces."
The chief minister said, "Diwali is symbol for hope, knowledge, happiness, development and victory. Diwali means rows of diyas. This Diwali should be the row of victories for Telugu people."
He blamed the NDA-led central government for not adequately supporting victims of Cyclone Titli which struck India's east coast last month, affecting parts of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.
"The central government acted inhumanly by not releasing even a single penny for Titli cyclone victims. We helped them without the Centre's support. The real Diwali is the day when the evil rule of NDA government comes to an end. We are thriving for the same. For me, Diwali is the day when I see glow in the eyes of the public," the chief minister said.
