Former Australia Test team skipper Ian Chappell believes that it is a sensible move to bring in recovering skipper Michael Clarke for the Bangladesh game.

Chappell believes that Australia's clash against Bangladesh on Saturday is the crunch time for Clarke to prove whether his fitness would sustain and allow him to continue on as captain after the World Cup.

Clarke's dedicated recovery from hamstring surgery has been convincing so far, but the main test was always going to come in his return to the international stage in Brisbane, News.com.au reported.

Chappell claimed that he believes it's a sensible move to bring Clarke in for the Bangladesh game, adding that if injury looks like it's going to be an ongoing thing, they need to find that out sooner rather than later.

Moreover, he claimed that if Clarke breaks down in a game against Bangladesh, it's not going to hurt them.

Chappell said that it's something that needs to be resolved, and added that better that it's resolved against Bangladesh than one of the major nations.
