Charles Saatchi has claimed that he had held his former wife Nigella Lawson by the throat "to make her focus", at Scott's restaurant in Mayfair.
The 70-year-old co-founder of advertising agency 'Saatchi and Saatchi' has spoken out about the infamous restaurant row and told a court that he did not "throttle" the television chef, but was trying to make her focus, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
He added that he still "adored" the 53-year-old television personality, who divorced him after the incident, and was "utterly bereft" when details of her alleged drug use had been publicized.
Saatchi was photographed with his hands around Lawson's neck in central London earlier this year.
