Copies of the latest issue of Charlie Hebdo's satirical French weekly has fetched 1,05,000 dollars on eBay, hours after a terrorist attack that decimated the staff at the magazine headquarters.
The 60,000 print run of issue number 1177 sold out almost instantly after that assault on the magazine's headquarters that killed almost 12 people, including some top journalists, reported News.com.au.
Scores of the three-euro magazine showing a cartoon likeness of controversial French author Michel Houellebecq on the cover was coming online at exorbitant prices.
Of over 80 ads offering the issue on eBay, some of them were available for buying immediately at a price of around 50,000 euros.
Charlie Hebdo has announced that the magazine will be back with a one0million copy memorial edition in the aftermath of the massacre.
