Charlie Hunnam was reportedly forced to drop out of the film adaption of E.L. James' best selling erotic novel 'Fifty Shades of Grey' because of his issues with the film's creative team.

A source told the Hollywood Reporter that the 'Sons of Anarchy' star, who is also a scriptwriter, had made some detailed suggestions on Kelly Marcel's adaptation of the flick.

The source insisted that his script notes were well received, but that only led to the handsome hunk seeking further script approval, which was denied.

Another insider asserted that Hunnam began butting heads with the creative team of the film, including director Sam Taylor-Johnson.

But by then, Hunnam, whose heart it seems never was in the project, had decided to quit the film, the source added.

Currently in the running to be Hunnam's replacement in the film are believed to be British TV stars Jamie Dornan and Christian Cooke.
