Charlie Hunnam has revealed that not being able to star in the upcoming '50 Shades of Grey' flick was "heartbreaking".

According to Life and Style magazine, the 'Sons of Anarchy' star said that he felt like he could have done a good job at playing Christian Grey, otherwise he wouldn't have considered the role in the first place, CBS news reported.

It was definitely kind of heartbreaking to not being able to bring a life to a character in which he had invested so much, he added.

The 34-year-old actor walked away from the role of handsome businessman Christian Grey in just one month after E.L. James announced Hunnam and Dakota Johnson names for the lead roles.
