Chelsea climbs to top of Premier League following 2-0 win over Hull

Chelsea has moved to the top of the Premier League following a 2-0 victory over a resilient Hull City away at the KC Stadium on Saturday.

With Manchester City playing on Sunday and Arsenal on Monday, the Stamford Bridge side took advantage with their eighth win in their past 10 league games and are in a good position to push the other title challengers all the way.

According to the BBC, Eden Hazard opened the scoring for City 11 minutes after the break when he fired a low strike past Allan McGregor, while Fernando Torres added a second with another low shot, from 18 yards, to seal the win, in the last minutes of the game.

 

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech beat the legendary Peter Bonetti's club record with his 209th clean sheet in the game, the report added.
