Chennaiyin FC captain Elano Blumer was released on bail on Monday after being arrested by Margao Town Police for allegedly assaulting industrialist Dattaraj Salgaonkar, the FC Goa's co-owner, following his side's Indian Super League (ISL) final triumph.
Chennaiyin defeated Goa 3-2 in a pulsating thriller to win the second edition of the ISL at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium in Fatorda. However, the celebrations were marred by the incident which happened after the match at the FC Goa dugout.
The 2015 ISL champions are expected to issue a statement at a media conference in Chennai later in the day.
