Punjab Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) vice president Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina on Sunday welcomed his party's decision to field senior leader Arun Jaitley from Amritsar Lok Sabha seat.
He said Jaitley will win by a huge margin, and added that the border district will benefit immensely in development from an experienced leader, who is the best to address issues confronting the 'holy city' and its surrounding areas.
Chhina, who himself was in the race for party's ticket, said the whole party is united in making Jaitley win the seat, and added that they, with the help from alliance partner the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), would campaign day and night for their leader.
"I am sure that Jaitley would bring an unprecedented development for the 'holy city'. He will bring major investment and development projects which will generate employment opportunities and prosperity for our youth," added Chhina.
