Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar has said that the government would be organising a three-day National Children Film Festival (NCFF) in New Delhi.
Addressing a news conference, Javadekar said the government is keen on promoting films for the children by facilitating expansion of its reach.
"We will be organising a three-day National Children Film Festival from November 14 to November 16 in New Delhi," he said.
Javadekar said the children's film festival culture was needed to be taken to other cities and states, adding that the government would lend support in organising such film festivals.
"Around 15,000 children are participating in the film festival. The chief guest of the event will be Sania Mirza. The theme of the whole event is cleanliness," Javadekar said.
The Film and Television Institute of India will be holding cinematography workshops, puppetry and animation and best out of waste workshops for the children during the event.
