Chinese internet watchdog has banned the web users from posting information under the names of famous people like Barack Obama or Chinese officials saying it was a "vulgar culture".
According to BBC, the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) said that it was fighting the "vulgar culture" of using such names on the internet.
Chinese President Xi Jinping oversees the CAC which is a Communist Party organ. The CAC rules are expected to carry more force than any other regulators.
Web firms have sidestepped similar restrictions by other such regulators.
The CAC said a series of measure would be put into force from March 1.
