China hopes to promote bilateral relations with Japan

China's Premier Li Keqiang has said that the government is looking forward to promote bilateral relations with Japan and overcome political barriers taking history as guidance.

Li said that a healthy relation between the two countries would increase peace and prosperity of both the nations, reported China Daily.

Li said, in the meeting with Chinese and Japanese delegates at the 21st Century Committee for China-Japan Friendship that the countries must base their relations on the fourpoint principled consensus and draw lessons from history.

China hopes that Japan would carefully handle the issue that could result in a friendly development of the relations between the two countries, said Li.

 

It was Li's first meeting with the Japanese delegates since he became premiere in 2013.
