Over 500 single women participated in an upscale matchmaking event organized by the China Entrepreneurs' Club for Singles for becoming wealthy housewives.
The club charges an annual fee of 200,000 yuan ($32,580) from men in a bid to provide carefully selected and screened lineup of ladies, the Global Times reports.
According to the report, the club claims to scrutinize all potential matches through rigorous rounds of intelligence exam, psychological evaluation and a life skill test.
A traditional Chinese medicine practitioner checks the pulse of the ladies to determine the health and character of the candidate.
Meanwhile, critics claim that this event promotes money adulation and help the millionaire bachelors find desirable virgins.
