The Indian women's junior hockey team suffered a shocking 2-4 defeat to hosts China in their third Pool A match of the seventh Asia Junior Cup tournament at Changzhou on Wednesday.
The hosts continued with their aggressive intent, with BingFeng Gu scoring two quick goals,while Qiu Guo and Chenyang Guo scored one goal each.
It was drag-flicker Jaspreet Kaur, who scored the first goal for India at 33rd minute through a penalty corner.
Defender Gurjit Kaur later converted a penalty corner into another goal for his side.
India had started their Asia Cup tournament in an imperious style as they claimed 13-0 win over Korea and 12-0 victory over Singapore.
The ongoing tournament is a qualification event for the FIH Junior World Cup 2016.
India will now lock horns with Malaysia tomorrow.
