Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi today said Beijing would like to see New Delhi develop good relations with other countries including the United States.

"Indo-US relationship and Indo-China relationship are two separate bilateral relationships. And as India is a good neighbour, we would like to see India develop such good relations with other countries," he said while commenting on U.S. President Barack Obama's recent three-day visit to New Delhi.

The Chinese Foreign Minister, however, said that there has been good momentum in the growing relations between New Delhi and Beijing, adding that the leaders of both sides have been in close touch.

"At the same time, both India and China give very high importance to having good relations with the neighbours because you can't move your neighbours," Wang said.

"So, the neighborhood diplomacy is always very high on our agenda," he added.

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, who arrived in Beijing on a three-day visit yesterday, held talks with her Chinese counterpart here today on a host of bilateral and multilateral issues.

Swaraj, who is accompanied by Foreign Secretary S. Jaishankar and other top officials, would be meeting Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday.
