According to individuals familiar with the cyber attack on U.S.' second largest health insurer company Anthem that resulted in the theft of up to 80 million Social Security numbers said that the attack may be the work of state-sponsored Chinese hackers.
According to Washington Times, the breach was believed to have exposed various customer details like birthdays, addresses, email accounts and data related to income.
The attack was announced this week and discovered in the end of January.
According to investigators, other health care companies may also have been targeted.
