Minister of State for External Affairs Preneet Kaur on Monday said that the Special Representatives of India and China are discussing the issue of Chinese incursions in Ladakh and will try to resolve the matter quickly.

"We have a good system for dealing with the China. The special representatives are discussing this issue and will try to resolve the matter quickly," said Kaur.

"Work is being done step by step as it is a complex issue since our border with China is very long," she added.

According to news reports, about 15-20 Chinese soldiers entered Chumur outpost in Ladakh near the Line of Actual Control last week. The troops of both countries came face to face after which the Chinese troops returned to their positions.

The latest row occurred after a fortnight when three Indian shepherds were allegedly caught by the Chinese, for straying into their territory.

The Indian army has denied the report that the Chinese pitched tents in Chumur, which has seen a number of incursions in the past year.
