A Chinese man strapped a gas tank onto his pregnant girlfriend before blowing her up.
Li Moulian, who had reportedly kidnapped his 21-year-old pregnant girlfriend, set her light along with the gas tank, when the police arrived in Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, southern China, Metro.co.uk reported.
Xu Fan and her boyfriend, who decided to start a relationship when she got pregnant after a one night stand, suffered severe injuries but their baby is said to be doing well.
The 21-year-old girl's uncle said that they had warned her that she needed to know more about him before deciding to spend her life with him and it is sad that the warnings were true as he clearly has mental problems.
The couple is being treated side-by-side in a hospital room, and Moulian is not expected to survive, while his victim and their baby are expected to make a recovery.
