Chris Brown's bodyguard Hollosy has been charged guilty of assault, while the singer's trial has reportedly been delayed.

The bodyguard's attorney, Bernard Grimm, argued in his trial that Parker Adams was simply trying to get rich by accusing the 24-year-old rapper and Hollosy of assaulting him, CNN reported.

D.C. Superior Judge Patricia Wynn said that the bodyguard was not justified in hitting Adams since there was no evidence he was advancing on the singer as he took photos with a fan.

Hollosy's case was tried first so that he could freely testify in his boss' defense about the sidewalk fight that landed them both in jail in October.

However, Brown faces a misdemeanor charge.
