Police Commissioner M.N. Reddi on Friday said the investigation into the recent Church Street blast is moving in the right direction.

Reddi, however, said that he was not in a position to give any concrete update as of now because the investigation is in a very initial stage.

"It is only yesterday that we have taken these people into custody. We need to get them into police custody through court order. So, there are various processes going on and investigation is moving on the right lines. We need to inquire into number of aspects of this particular case of gathering the explosives etc. so that work is on," Reddi told mediapersons here.

"So, at this point in time apart from saying this much I am not in a position to comment any further," he added.

Reddi further said a large amount of bomb making equipment including explosives has been seized.

According to reports, three Indian Mujahideen (IM) suspects have been arrested by the Bangalore Police's crime branch from Bhatkal. The three are being interrogated to find out whether they are linked to the Church Street explosion that took place in December last year.
