Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has been named League Managers Association's (LMA) Manager of the Year after he guided his side to their first ever Premier League title in the club's 132-year history.
Leicester lifted their maiden Premier League title with a thrilling 3-1 win over Everton at the King Power Stadium, thus finishing the season ten points clear at the top.
Ranieri's efforts of leading Leicester from relegation candidates to champions in his first season at the club also won him 'Premier League Manager of the Year' award, goal.com reported.
With the win, the 64-year-old became only the second non-British manager to clinch the accolade after Frenchman Arsene Wenger, who won it with Arsenal in 2002 and 2004.
Leicester, who escaped relegation last season and started the current season as 5000-1 outsiders, also overcame their underdogs tag by winning the title in what could be termed as one of the most remarkable seasons of the football history.
