Pakistan middle-order batsman Umar Akmal, who was caught by police in a night party in Hyderabad, has got clean chit from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Earlier, Akmal was ruled out of the squad and also suspended from central contract of PCB for acting unethically after he was reported of attending a party in Hyderabad, where he went to play the first-class cricket tournament.

So as the player has been proved innocent, the 25-year-old would now replace all-rounder Iftikhar Ahmed in the T20 squad.

Confirming the news, chief selector Haroon Rasheed said that Akmal has been included in the squad as he got clearance after an inquiry into the Hyderabad incident, the Dawn reported.

T20 skipper Shahid Afridi had earlier offered his support to Akmal, saying that he should be included in the squad if proven innocent.

Pakistan will play a three-match series against England, starting from November 26 in Dubai.
