Aam Admi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal, who along with his party's volunteers participated in the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan', said here on Thursday that basic problems of all janitors should be looked into seriously.

"The main thing is that we have to respect our workers, one who always cleans. We have to increase their salaries and solve other related issues," said Kejriwal.

He said those who clean should be provided with the latest equipment.

He asked, "1000 crores is set aside for cleanliness, but where does it goes?"

"Lots of corruption is going on, which we need to end. If it is not done, then all the efforts made today, will go in vain," he added.

This morning he picked up a broom at the B R camp on Race Course Road to be a part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan', which was launched today.
